Teething

I have been teething for the past few days.  On Friday, when we left for Long beach my cold symptoms kicked themselves into over drive.  Today was no exception.  I looked like I ran a couple miles today with the drool ring around the collar.  This is after my bath - notice the drool already starting back up.  Hopefully another tooth will be making it's grand entrance soon.

My First Beach Trip

 

We camped with the Anderson's in Ocean Park this weekend and had a blast.  I ate marshmallows, played in sand, got bit by a mosquito (only one), enjoyed a bonfire, visited Long Beach shops (including Marsh's Museum) and cuddled up in a sleeping bag.  Aunt Kimmee bought a cool maroon hat for me to keep my ears warm and it looked great in these pictures of us on the beach.

My First Goose Egg

I was helping Mommy pack for our camping trip this weekend (Long Beach) and I fell onto my ottoman and bonked my head.  It hurt a a lot but I toughed it out like a big girl.

Parental Advisory

Last night Daddy took Grandma D to a wine class for her belated Mother's Day present and today they made her very first batch.  Just to clarify...No, I didn't drink any wine.  Although the picture of me with Grandma D sure is convincing!

Boot, Scoot & Boogie

We visited Ahna today.  Oh that girl, what a hoot!  Ahna isn't crawling quite yet but I swear it will be any day!  She may just walk first and teach us all a lesson. She does this really funny thing, I'll call it the "boot scoot & boogie".  She actually bounces up off the floor on her bum wiggling all over the place. We had so much fun today pushing each other in my Radio Flyer Walker.  We were so proud of ourselves walking around like little midgets. LOVE.

It's Raining It's Pouring

This last week has been filled with thunder, lightening, and torrential downpours!  It has also been filled with a cute little baby in a radical raincoat.  Yep, you know you want one!  The coat, not the baby!

Getting Clean!

My baths are very short lately because I am hard to very hard to control.  I wonder how many babies knock themselves out each year by hitting their head on the sides of the tub. 

Radio Flyer Walker Wagon

Now that I am crawling,  Mommy & Daddy bought me this cool new Radio Flyer to help me with walking.  It is heavily weighted so that it shouldn't tip over onto me.  It is so much fun!

Nap Time & The Funky Bunch

If you know anything about my Mommy, you should know that when she was a baby and even to date she sleeps in funky positions and even in funny places.  You could find her on the bathroom floor, closet, or even under her bed at times.  She would also fall asleep with both of her legs sticking out of the crib.  I guess I do take after my Mommy just a little bit.
This could also stem from the fact I have been teething really bad the last two nights.  Waking up ever hour or so and drooling like a siv, thus making it incredibly hard to get to sleep comfortably.  However, Mommy prefers to believe that I am just taking after her.

Crawling Backwards

Apparently crawling backwards is technically crawling.  So, as of about a week ago I guess I have started.  This is news to me.  I have always thought forwards is the way to go.  Brandi told us that Preslie started crawling backwards today.  Mark it on your calendars kids.  Very cool!

I am also able to sit back up from laying down now.  Soon enough and I will be running!

8 Months Already!

Mommy is having a harder time taking my pictures.  I am such a wiggle worm and about to crawl any day now.  Here I am waving at Mommy.  What does she expect?  She says "Hi Baby!"so I wave at her.  That's only etiquette, right?

Kendra Lee Food Processor

The Kendra Lee food processor uses a "Grapple Mashing" technique that combines special fingers without the use of a container. Food is forced around the the digits, up and around the curved part of the chin, which then pushes it back down towards the chest area. That way, all of the food hits the mouth at some point, providing efficiency and completeness when blending and feeding baby.
Operating the Kendra Lee is also simple. First, load your ingredients onto your desired platform.  Here at Kendra Lee we prefer a highchair, then allow her to choose the specific digits (depending on how you want to blend the food), then step back and let her do her magic. To stop the Kendra Lee, pry open fingers to loosen up extra remnants and wash in sink.

I spent time with all the Mom's today.

Grandpa and Grandma Castellani, Daddy, Mommy and I all went to the Puffin for lunch.  The Puffin is on the Columbia River and the weather was absolutely perfect for it.

For Dinner we went to Grandma & Grandpa Hood's.  Their dinners are always fabulous.

Over all it was a wonderful day spent with the best Mom's in my life!

We dug out the trusty Red Rocket and strolled through town.  I was a very good girl and even fell asleep through part of it.

Kendra & Preslie

We stopped by Grandma & Grandpa Castellani's today.  Parker and Preslie were there.  It is hard to believe that Preslie and I are only 2 days apart in age. The size difference is almost funny. To top it off that silly girl kept trying to steal all the toys! Somebody needs to learn how to share, ha ha.  Next time I may just have to hold her down, or sit on her so that I can have them all. When we left Grandma & Grandpa's I gave her big hugs and even waved bye-bye.

A Gift From Daddy

Daddy brought home this pretty ball that Grandma D had stored away for him, from when he was a baby..  It's still in great shape and I love it!

Almost A Crawler!

I swear, it will be any day now.  I am able to lift my tummy off the floor for longer periods of time and can shuffle my body backwards and around in circles.  I just need to figure out my arm/leg rhythm and stop being so lazy. Mommy told me to have another twinkie, whatever that means. Either way, my parents are getting super excited  for me to crawl but are a little nervous they won't be able to keep up with me once I have it mastered.  Once again, Mom got a little camera happy.

Tooth Update

I spoke too soon.  For about an hour today I was in tremendous pain and wouldn't let anyone near my mouth.  I tried to nurse but it only made me hurt more. After a few attempts of trying to make my mouth feel better (Ora-gel, frozen wash cloth, teething ring, teething tablets) Mommy held my vibrating teether in my mouth and cuddled me until I fell asleep.
