My Big Girl Bed

Mommy & Daddy bought me comforter and sheet set for my new bed and Great Grandma Mary bought me a mattress.  It is finally all set up.  I absolutely love it and have never slept so deeply before. There is a bunch of storage all around and I have my big toys stuffed beneath it for now.  A collapsible desk is meant for that space but a fort seems much more appropriate.

Early Birthday

I just received my first birthday present in the mail.  A big girl bed!  Both sets of Grand Parents pitched in on this beauty!  I can't wait for Mommy and Daddy to set it up.  Thank you!

The Great Wolf Lodge

Aunt Kimeee & Kortnee invited us to join them at the Great Wolf Lodge.  We had so much fun!
What's new:  I am keeping up on my manners.  It is rare for me to not say "pwease" or "tank you" when I would like something from you.  If you thank me, I will say, "yur wecome" and If you sneeze I will say "bess you."  If you run into me, step on me, push me down, or If I do anything to make you hurt or upset you I will say "I'm Sauwy."  Hopefully Mommy and Daddy will be able to keep this trend up.  There is nothing better than a child with manners.

Urban Quail Farming

Meet our new quail!  2 whites, 2 rosettes, 2 tuxedos, and 2 range.  Daddy made a wonderful coop for them and our plan is to raise them for meat and eggs.  They will only weigh around 7 ounces matured but they sure do pack the good stuff.
Quail eggs contain three or four times the nutritional value of regular chicken eggs. The health benefits of quail eggs extend to the high levels of protein and vitamins in them. Quail eggs have 13 percent protein and have 140 percent of the daily-recommended vitamin B1. Compare this to the 50 percent of vitamin B1 and 11 percent proteins that are found in chicken eggs. Quail eggs also contain five times the iron and potassium that chicken eggs do. Furthermore, the ovomucoid found in quail eggs is known to prevent the symptoms associated with allergies, hay fever and sinusitis.  The health benefits typically associated with quail eggs include digestive improvement, immune system function, detoxification and combating disease. Quail eggs naturally enhance the immune system, and children who eat them are less likely to acquire infectious diseases. Along with asthma, they are used to treat tuberculosis and diabetes. Quail eggs are also known for their ability to aid the digestive system. They are known to improve the quality of life for people with stomach ulcers as well as those with gallstones, kidney stones and liver stones.  Quail eggs provide health benefits to the nervous system. They improve brain function and enhance memory as well as steady the nervous system. They help the circulatory system by allowing the body to create sufficient levels of hemoglobin, which enhances the health of anemia patients. Eating quail eggs can do more than benefit health and improve immune function; they also help increase metabolism. Many people associate quail eggs with improvements in skin tone and hair health. Men benefit from eating  quail eggs because the phosphorous they contain helps prostate health. The vitamins and protein in quail eggs are also considered a sexual stimulant.  Now you've learned something new!

Welcome Simon Danger Olsen!

Isn't my new friend cute?  Mommy stayed with Mandy and Bryan at the hospital for the last 3 days in anticipation for baby Simon to arrive.  Finally, at 6:50am this morning he decided  to show up for his birthday party.  8lbs. of perfect baby boy.  It was a long road for Mandy but she handled it like a true super hero!

Oregon Coast Fun

Cabin sleepovers, swimming, playing in the sand, long walks together, eating out, touching starfish and feeding seals stinky fish at the Seaside aquarium, my first carousel ride, and playing with animals at the Clatsop County Fair, all while spending time with two of my favorite ladies, Grandma Katie & Mommy.  So much fun!

Date Night With Daddy

Daddy dressed me up and brushed my hair (*cough *cough) before taking me out on a date to Papa's Ice Cream.  He let me pick out my own flavor and I picked bubble gum.  Do you know what makes my Daddy so great?  He picked out all of the bubble gum from my cone first so that I wouldn't swallow or choke on it.  I love you Daddy.

Blueberry Pickin'

We picked blueberries with Ahna and Holly today.  It was a lot of fun!  We left with 5lbs. of yummy blue-ness.
