Pool Time

Today I had my first dip in the pool! It was only 75 degrees out and the water was probably 50 below but I still had fun for about 5 minutes.

Lifesaver

After finding tooth #2,  I had a hard time sleeping through the night.  Mommy's routine consisted of numerous feedings, rocking, and putting me back to sleep until around 5:30am when Daddy pitched in.  Daddy is such a lifesaver.  This is what happened when he got home from work this evening.

Grandm Mary's Tooth #2

Guess what Mommy found today while we were visiting Great Grandma Mary! Yep, tooth #2!!! (Top Right).  She didn't even know I had been teething.  HA!  I guess that is a good thing.

9 Month Check Up + Finger Prick

I had my 9 month check up today. Dr. Mason gave me a full exam and told Mommy that I was absolutely perfect and had great demeanor.  Then I was sent to the lab for a routine blood test for Anemia.  I was on my best behavior and didn't cry through the entire visit.  The ladies in the lab gave me a grape flavored tongue depressor right before pricking my finger for blood.  I looked over at my finger when it happened but I was much more interested in my yummy stick.  At the end of the visit they gave me a Snoopy band-aide that barely made it to the car (I tried eating it off).  If it wasn't for that yummy stick It would have been removed much sooner.  My height was 30 inches (97%) and my weight was 19 lbs. 9.4 oz. (65%) and my head circumference was 44.5 cm (70%).

I turned 9 months today, it's June and the sun is nowhere to be found.  Maybe if I pull out the sand toys it will reappear?

The Olympic Peninsula

Over the weekend Grandma Katie and Mommy drove us out to the Olympic Peninsula.  We took the entire Hwy 101 loop from Aberdeen Washington back to Olympia Washington.  The first city that we visited was Quinault, home of the largest spruce tree in the world.
It was an amazing journey that took us through Forks, the city that the "Twilight" series is based out of.  Here are a few pictures of Forks and my first night in a hotel!
After visiting forks we stopped by LaPush & Rialto Beach.
After playing at the beach we went west to Port Angeles.  We took more pictures at the beach near the port and relaxed in our hotel's pool/hot tub.  I wouldn't stop splashing!
After Port Angeles we visited Sequim Washington's Wildlife Game Park.  We fed bison, Yaks, Llamas, Elk, Deer and even bears!  They were all very sweet and came up to our windows.  I was so excited especially after they licked me!
There was also the petting zoo.

And an aquarium.

Overall, our trip was a success!  It was very nice to get out of town for the weekend and it feels great to call this my first BIG trip.

Smashed Potatoes

Mommy was about to collapse the Pack N Play so that we could take it on our trip up north this weekend.  Out of the corner of her eye she saw me doing this!  She ran for her camera and didn't even have to coax me to do it again.  I was blowing raspberries and smashing my face up against the side apparently trying to show off.  Mommy started mimicking me back and it was a duel of the smashed blubbering faces!

Wood Stove

Daddy just finished painting the gate for the wood stove.  It is really nice and I am so proud of his handy work.  Now I shouldn't have to worry about gashing my head open on it.

Mom's Sink Is A Disaster

It looks like there was a flood in the kitchen!  After munching on those sweet Biter Biscuits Mommy decided to throw me into the sink (not literally) but she forgot that I have been on a splashing craze lately (check out the wall behind me).  Let's just say she had some serious clean up to do!

25th Annual Northwest Bug Run

Jared, Misty, Ethan, and Lilly hopped in their bug and followed us over to the 25th Annual NW Bug Run.  The weather was amazing and we couldn't have picked a better family to share our time with.  Some of the festivities at the show included drag racing and the engine blowing raffle.  We weaved our way through all the cool Volkswagens and it time warped Mommy back to when she had her very own '66 bug.  Around 8 years ago Mom sold it to a really cool guy that lives here locally.  He modified quite a few things and turned it into a "Pimp boy car".  That is what Mommy calls it.  Anyway, guess who's old bug showed up in Woodburn, Oregon today?  Yep, Mommy's!  We took a picture of it sandwiched in between two other classic beauties and moved on to the other pretty cars.  You wouldn't believe me if I told you but, there was a car that had real grass planted on the body of it and a sprinkler that came out of the roof to keep it wet!  There was also a cool chalkboard bug that I had my named signed on.  I was such a good girl and never let out a single whimper throughout our time there.  Oh what a day!

Gold Mine

We struck gold today over at Goodwill.  Mom found me this cute red & black plaid trapper hat that she had to get a picture of.  The big basket was also a great find.

It's Not Nice To Point

Mommy & Daddy taught me how to use my index finger today.  I can honk noses and seek out and touch the tip of another persons finger.  I feel like I am phoning home to E.T.
